Fougere Oud

The scent is opulent, nocturnal, intriguing, and familiar. It smells like the lobby you stood in as a child when your parents scolded you not to touch anything before you’d even touched anything.

This is the rich atmospheric scent of being swaddled in baby cashmere as you nestle into a deep leather couch while sipping vanilla hot chocolate as a metrosexual wood worker, redolent with the essence of a sequoia grove, hand rolls you a pure tobacco ciggy.

This was my first time ordering from Dossier, and the shipping experience was excellent. However, this is not a scent with clear oud notes. Instead, it only has a chemical and mint-like scent.

Perhaps I received an older or improper batch. I am hoping it will develop differently over some time (in which case, I will update the review). I don’t think I will be purchasing again.

The order was initially placed back in May 29th. According to the tracking number, the item is stuck at Twin Lakes, Wisconsin for the past week. I had contacted the customer service and was told to wait. The initial estimated time of arrival was way off and I never got an update. I would like to get my full refund and want to make sure that the membership is fully cancelled.
